Some time back I found out that removing the lens from a X10 camera and using it as the eyepiece on a small telescope worked great. Now I would like to do the same thing with an Axis 206W. But... I've seen words to the effect that if you remove a 206 lens you just broke the whole thing. True? Can one remove it if you _____? Thanks.

As far as I remember, the lens on the Axis 206 is built-in. This means it would a) void the warranty and b) break the camera.

I don't know much about the insides of the 206 to say if it is possible.

Sorry!
