It's just looking at my front door, so there is very little activity but there it is.
As far as running on batteries, I've done it and the battery life depends on the batteries and whether you're using wireless or ethernet. On wireless you can get probably 1-2 hours maybe even 3 but I haven't tested it for that long. _________________ Support Engineer

Check the specs: draw is "4.5 watts" (right?). If that's it, at 5 V that's a little under 1 A draw. A typical alkaline double-A has what, 1.8 amp-hours (at 1.5V, so 4x in series gets you about 6V at 1.8 amp-hours, or about 12 watts of capacity). That 4.5W (207W, 207MW is a bit more) is the max likely draw (maybe with the radio going, max frame rate, whatever), so ... like the guy said, about 2-3 hours with everything, assuming a double-A alkaline has 1800 mAH of omph (maybe more?). The 6V "shouldn't" be a problem, though a fresh AA has more like 1.6V (x4 = 6.4 V, still "should" be okay). The radio probably takes the most power. What's the spec on the 207 (without the radio?). You could always use a 4-pack of D cells. Those have maybe, what, 4 amp-hours? Maybe more even (probably a lot more, say, maybe 6 or 8 Ah or even 10). Or how about a 6V wet-cell (lead-acid)?
