Hi,

I have a Gadspot GS1600 (NC1600) IP network camera. My GS1600 IP camera has two problems, the time clock is very inaccurate and the camera's built-in time sync feature utilizing a NTP server or the PC's time doesn't run automatically on any time schedule. The camera doesn't lose time, it actually runs too fast and gains about 20-25 minutes of time each day. I have ruled out that the problem is related to a specific NTP server. I have tried many different NTP servers using both the FQDN and the IP address.

In addition, I have discovered that the NTP time calculations are inconsistent in the GS1600 camera’s web user interface. For example, the time displayed in the System Settings screen does not match the time displayed in the Camera’s View screen. When the camera sends an e-mail with snapshots upon a triggered motion, the timestamp by each picture is one hour behind.

There doesn’t appear to be a way to fix these problems. If I adjust the daylight savings offset by 1 hour, then the time displayed in the camera’s view screen is 1 hour ahead. I wish the GS1600 IP camera kept better time, but I would happy if the built-in NTP time sync feature ran automatically upon a schedule ( every 1 hr ).

Has anyone else encountered these problems? I am not getting anywhere with Gadspot's support in the USA. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I am running firmware version 2006-06-27 1.0.5 Gad-L100 on my gadspot GS1600 network IP camera. Is anyone aware of any new firmwares posted by Gadspot for the GS1600 network IP camera?
