IP Monitoring Surveillance Software

We are looking for some suggestions regarding IP Monitoring Surveillance Software. We will be purchasing IP Cameras for six locations and we wish for them to be recorded to a server at our headoffice. We noticed there are several software developers who can provide software for recording our IP Cameras but we would like some suggestions regarding the top software out there for the job.

Please reply here if you have extensive knowledge with any of the IP Monitoring Surveillance Software packages available. We would like to hear you input.

Hey EEC,

I have fooled around with Griffid and Miltstone IP Monitoring software solutions. I found they both work great but the Griffid requires some strong PC Specs. The Milestone software is my favorite. It's easy to use and very stable. Only thing is, its a bit pricey. If you are looking for reliability over price then I would suggest Milestone.

You might also want to take a look at the i-Catcher Console software, which has a massive feature set for the cost. Motion detection, email alerts, archiving, web server, PTZ, all part of the package.

Try the BiKal EyeSoft IP Surveillance software. It features support for multiple IP cameras and does not charge per camera license fees. It features a very easy to use interface, video analytics and other advanced features.

You can download a free trial on the website and try it out. There are a few links that connect to various cameras around the world including some tv channels so you can put the software through its paces. Its compatible with Windows XP and Vista. The website also features setup guides and manuals and video tutorials to get you started.

Remote access can be acheived via a normal web broswer or you can brodcast high definition video to Windows Media Player.

I'm also a Milestone man and it's great for multiple sites. My only concern would be the available bandwidth you have between sites and the numer of cameras at each site. For the record, you can download a free trial from their site too www.milestonesys.com

Probably Milestone is a choice, but consider also less expensive software, like luxriot
