Hi Ya'll,

I work for a non-profit that is attempting to set up an IP based camera system to watch segments of the US/Mexico border. I have 1 dlink 6620g, 2 Dlink 6620g clones from Taiwan, and 3 cameras that are operating over an IP video server system. I'm looking for a software/server side solution that will do the following.

1; require viewers to use a unique name and password to access the camera(s)

2; Limit the amount of time a user can view the camera

3; Limit the number of users viewing a camera at any given time to 1+ an admin.

4; Place users in a queue so that when a users time is up, the next user automatically logs on.

5; record video on the server, at the prompting from the user.

I have contacted a couple of developers, but none of them can do this with our camera systems

If any of you can, please contact me! We are not looking for a hand out, we are willing to pay for this service, but bear in mind, we're a non-profit.

Mac

Milestone XProtect Enterprise will do almost all of the above. The only exception is timed sessions...

Not got a copy of Corporate installed to play with at the minute but that may allow it.

Yep, all Milestone products are server-side applications with a client application that can be run from a browser, or installed as an application on any client machine

Josh,

Thanks for the info, can you tell me if any of your Milestone products will work for the following:

If it can, or almost can, we are very interested. If you can send me a pm I can give you my contact info.

Regards,
Mac

Depending on the actual implementation, I'd be careful about using cloned (or even Linksys) cameras. Make sure to test them well if outdoors, on poles, etc.

Some of the Taiwanese and Chinese clones use parts that cause problems down the road but won't be immediately available.
