I am some problems with some Axis IP cameras. I can connot browse into them. They are currently online and functioning properly but I am unable to connect to them to do some admin work. The browser reports that it cannot connect to the server. Any idea how I can talk to them? No security set. Complete admin rights.
Another problem I have been having is cameras going "dark" and not responding until I power off and then on. This is nearly impossible for me to do on a reagular basis and I am not going to ask my customer to do this every week or so when a camera goes "dark".
How about a phone number for Axis help desk. I can't wait two days for a reply if I have a problem while I am in the field.
Any help you have would be appreciated.

Wow, I thought only the cheap cameras do that, mine went black once in two weeks since I got it but I was able to reset it from my web browser. Doesn't sound like Axis is anymore reliable.
If you can't get to it, first try ping'ing the IP address, for example, go into a command window and enter ping 192.168.1.10 if that's the address. If it can't connect at all, the IP address probably changed. Go into your router configuration web page (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1) and it will have an option somewhere to show you who's connected and one of them should have the camera name and the IP address, if that's different than what you were trying to browse, problem solved, if it's the same, you may have to reset the camera and start from scratch if it's corrupt.

Thanks for the response. I have done this and the camera is still at the IP I set, I just can not browse to it. I can ping it, and it is still streaming video to my server, but I cannot browse to it to do any admin work.
The other problems I have had is that a camera in my network occasionally will go dark and it will not come back until I cycle power on it.
Does anyone have a phone number so that I can talk to Axis tech help without the two day email delay?
