To any and all,

I'm currently running IP Surveillance from D-Link with 12 DCS-5300's and have had nothing but problems. After disabling every security measure in windows and removing all possible windows updates I finally got the program to run. However, the program stops the recording from the cameras every night (despite the schedule being set to continuous recording while ignoring any scheduling conditionals so, 24/7 recording, non-stop), the cameras seem to return to their home position and never resume their patrol-- these are just the biggest problems I'm having! I'm fed up with D-Link's abhorrent excuse for tech support and cannot find any documentation on the IP Surveillance software ANYWHERE! Does anyone have any insight to these bugs? Anyone know where to get the in-depth skinny on the software itself? I've got this software running like a dream at another establishment with only four of the same model of camera using the same software configuration-- yet none of the same problems. Thanks in advance!

I have a DCS 5220 and it works fine with me. have it over a year now.

regarding the auto pan control, it won't work continuously.

haha I used to be so frustrated with that when I asked the dlink support regarding the auto pan/ auto patrol.

You have to chose 40 location to pan with or you can repeat 2 locations over 40 times COMBINED! so that means if your gonna make it go left, right, left, right after 20 rights and 20 lefts yes it will stop.

stupid dlinks didn't put a loop in the system.

despite this problem, my camera is working fine. give me a feedback on what exact problems you're having I'll try to help Wink

It' s called DViewCam v.140 and it is also from D-Link:

http://www.dlink.com/products/support.asp?pid=546&sec=0#applications

Go figure. After installing it you set up your cameras and for every one of them you can set an AutoPan option and/ or AutoPatrol option, that will work as long as the program is running on that specific PC......

It does have a "repeat after 20min" feature, so you would have to set it up to travel around for say 15min then wait 5 min and then start automatically again.

It worked for me with all differnet kinds of PTZ Cams

Hope that helped
