I want to install a surveillance system in a building that is 120 feet from my home. I want to monitor the building from my home. The building is cement block. The building is a kennel and I want to monitor the dogs from the comfort of my living room. The building does not have internet.

Ideally, I would like to have a camera with sound that can pan and tilt as well as decent night vision. I want to be able to identify which dog is barking. Can a wireless system cover this range and deliver quality video. If so, what would you recommend?

Thanks for the help

The camera has PTZ, plug for external microphone and connector for external speaker. And it actually can do 2 way communications, maybe you can use it to hear the dogs and tell them to quite down?

Mr. Ranger,
I was able to get to the site via the link....hummm. If the link doesn't work try typing it in your internet browser by hand?
www.wirelessoutdoorcam.com
Here is the actual link to one of the wireless outdoor IP network PTZ cameras:

With the proper internet connection and configuration a user can control the up-down and side-to-side camera movements and the zoom in and zoom out of the view across the internet.

The Pan/Tilt Specifications:
Built-in RS485 internal decoder

Link works now, didn't earlier. What is the difference between the camera on sale for $600 and this one for $1079?

Thanks. And do you work there?

I saw that the $1079 was the wireless PTZ system, but I have no idea what is the $600 system. You'll have to call and ask them. they have a 800 number on the site. They customize some things but you have to ask them. We had a few of our systems run setup to run on batteries. They just made up and sold us some additional power cables to swap out when we need to run on batteries.

And we have 6 wireless systems, two of them being PTZ's and use them on our construction sites for recording and for our security to monitor at night and weekends.
