I don't know whether or not the sys admins think this is appropriate for this site? I think think these and the networked DVRs perform such a similar role and I would like to discuss them. I will understand if this post is removed?

Suggestions are always welcome! Smile

I have thought about adding DVR and Video Servers to the NetworkCameraReviews.com website. I'm looking to do this in the future but right now we will only be sticking towards IP Cameras.

Feel free to discuss DVR's and Video Servers on the forums. If a lot of talk starts coming regarding these products, I will create a section specifically for them in the forums.

Thanks again for the idea IPCCTV!

Cheers!

Heres the link. I would like to alert people to the fact that some capture cards and maybe some IP cameras do not work properly so far as sending e-mails as expected. In general, in the UK, mailservers expect to see some form of authentication and a password to allow an email to be sent. Some ISPs just requite you to be sending from an IP address in their range.

Be careful if you see anything that does not have a user or mailbox id and password. It may not work everywhere in the U.K.
