Hi guys, I have just got myself a dlink 2120 wireless IP camera, and I plan to get a couple more to place around the house.

A PC switched on 24/7 for recording is quite a waste in both its utility and its consumption so I bought a dlink dns NAS.

I managed to get the 2120 to record via ftp to the NAS when motion is detected, but it does not seem to be able to continuously record..

Also, it got me to suspect if I were to use multiple cameras, it could be quite a problem recording to a single NAS at the same time.

Is there a better solution to this?

Plenty of thanks!

NAS is nothing but a network hard.
try to configure your recording program.
and there is no problem recording multiple cameras at the same time.
i am using i-catcher and it works very fine for me.

If you have let say up to 25 cameras with VGA resolution and 5-10 FPS it is not a problem to record on a single hard drive or simple NAS. If you have higher number of cameras/FPS then it is recommended to use RAID controllers.
