i have tried to do the hard reset for the camera to get it to come back up

the lights on the camera act normal and what not but i can not access the camera still as if no ip address or anything

the network indicator lights seem fine etc i get a green ring on it

no clue whats going on with this thing

used netscan to try to find it on the network and nothing

any other troubleshooting tips would be grateful for

thanks to all who reply

oh it is my knowledge the default ip address for the camera is 192.168.0.90

i have scanned my 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.255 range on my network to see if i could pick anything up and nothing

thanks again if anyone can help with this

Try installing the axis camera management and see if it picks it up.

well here`s the real reason its not working !

That trace shows the camera doing A DHCP and it looks like your PC is trying a randomly self generating IP.

This means that your camera has not been given an IP /your PC either

ifconfig to check this -you should be able to ping both yourself and the camera.
they must be both on the same subnet..

then just hop in the camera via a web browser.

Hi,

Look, here is the problem.

the default ip address for the camera is 192.168.0.90

You computer's IP address is 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.255 r

The two IP addresses should be in the same segement. Then you are able to search it and view it.

Our customers also always have such problems. Now we have a plug and play IP camera. It's the most easy to use camera.
