I recently upgraded an older speedstream router and wireless access point to a single wireless dsl modem and now i am unable to see cameras remotely. i can see them internally using a private ip (192.168.1.10); but, it no longer is working externally (from the internet).
If I try and connect, java just seems to run and run and run; then, ends up failing
and giving a msg "Error. Click for details" A dialog box appears saying the application failed to run.

Anyone have any ideas what is causing this?
Thanks,
Bob

If you can open the webinterface of the camera but you cannot see the stream I'd say you need to open another port, either the same port in UDP or, if the streaming is done eg on port 554 (rtsp streaming) you need to open that port too in tcp.

What's really weird is that it works at some remote locations and not at others...
For example, I have 3 separate ISPs at home (2 DSL lines and 1 Cable); the DSL lines work, but the cable doesn't. I have a super fast 100MB connection at work and it doesn't work there either. 3-4 weeks ago they were all working just fine.

After I upgraded the DSL modem for the ISP (AT&T), I noticed the problem, but it could be something else happened - it just seems easy the blame, because that was changed. I called the DSL modem people (actiontech) - they have no problem seeing the cameras; I also call the ISP (AT&T) and they have no problem seeing the cameras.

I wonder why its working from some sites and not from others?
