I work for a school and took over a project which they have 25 Dlink DCS-3410 camera's installed on a dedicated network. They had previously been using the Dview 2.0 program but it seems really unstable. It crashes at least once per day. Is there any reasonably priced, dependable, audio recording, server software that will work with this camera? I emailed Onssi and they said they dont support that camera directly and I might get it to work with their general driver. For a 5K investment I would want more than a "might work". The server the dview program is running on is a 3ghz core2 with 4 gig ram and has 1 hd for OS and 3 terabytes for the camera storage. When that program crashes it doesnt generate any event in the logs. Just dies, and you can restart it, no problem. I tried the blue iris trial today after reading this forum and while it will do the job its unstable under load also. It also took like 5 minutes to start recording once we turned that on. Any pointers or ideas would be most appreciated for a possible solution.
