|
|
Hi there, I have an IP Kamera 9060AK (KIT) and I was wondering if anyone can help me set it up so I can view it from any other computer via the Internet.
I am using a Linksys WAG54G (the gateway is the default 192.168.1.1) and I have the camera connected up to the 3rd port 192.168.1.103
I have registered with DynamicDNS.org, I have enabled DNS on the router and it says it is successfully connected to my DNS address but I when I enter the IP that it should be it won't let me connect to the camera.
Am I missing something?
Also; if this is any help, I cannot access the router itself from another computer...maybe some underlying restriction is preventing this?
I really am a novice regarding this kind of business, so step by step instructions would be very much appreciated.

are you forwarding any ports in your router to your ip camera?
theres something in the configuration of the router that allows remote management. it is not enabled by default so you need to enable it. i dont know where it is in your router. should be called remote management and say something about port 8080 possibly.
are you forwarding any ports? _________________ - - - - - - -

Yeah, under Applications and Gaming...
Application: DNS
External Port: 53
Internal Port: 53
Protocol: UDP
IP Address: 192.168.1.103 (the IP relating to the port on the back of the router that the camea is connected to)
Enabled: Yes (ticked box)
Any ideas?

you could try changing the protocol to TCP.
also, the ip address 192.168.1.103..........you are giving that because it is plugged into port 3? can you access the camera locally by typing in 192.168.1.103?
when you try remotely, try not using you DynamicDNS.org account but instead use the ip of your internet connection. just because your router is connecting to your ddns account doesnt mean its sending the correct ip.
just a few things to try _________________ - - - - - - -

TCP/UDP doesn't seem to make a difference
My mistake, the camera is on 192.168.1.101:53
I can access it from any computer on my network fine by typing 192.168.1.101:53
What would I need to type to access it from the Internet (I'm having difficulty understanding this part) - dynamic dns is matched to the router's IP address and works fine because I have typed the dns address and I get the router entry screen. How then do I access the camera? I have tried xxxxxx.dyndns.org/192.168.1.101:53, xxxxxxx.dyndns.org/101:53
(I'm guessing the above attempts because I simply didn't have a clue how the proper IP address should look)...HELP PLEASE!

Hello,
You would type in http://xxxx.dyndns.org:53 to access your camera. Make sure you have port 53 configured in your router to point to your IP Camera. _________________ Administrator
