Hello all,

This is my first post and I want to thank everyone for all of the great information on the forum. I apologize for my newbie questions but I've done tons of searches and I'm still pretty lost. I managed to get one of the Axis 207mw cameras I got connected wirelessly to my network but I am lost on how to configure my router(Apple Airport Extreme) properly so that I can view the cameras remotely. I'm sure there are different ways but I want to do it as securely and efficiently as possible. I don't have any experience with port forwarding and Portforward.com's instructions for the Airport Extreme seemed to show how to configure a much different interface than the one on my extreme. If anyone could help me out, I'd be really grateful. Also, I was wondering what other users of the Axis 207mw have found to be the best settings(i.e. mpeg-4 vs. motion jpeg, 640 x 480 vs. 1280 x 1024, etc.). I'm sorry for the newbie, clueless questions.

Thanks

If there are any professionals who can I help, I'll pay. I just don't feel like staying up till 5 in the morning trying to figure this out again. I'd rather be beaten to death with a hammer. My ISP won't give out static ip addresses to residential customers. I tried using Axis' Internet Dynamic DNS service also and I still haven't had any luck. Maybe it's the Airport Extreme? Anyhow, I know people are busy but like I said, I'll gladly pay someone to respond if they know what to do.

Hi itsokrelax,

Thanks for your response. I actually figured it out. I got a new router because the Airport Extreme was giving me too many problems.
