OK I am setting up a security system at my house I bought. I would like a day/night vision camera. I would like to mount it on the corner of my house and view clearly my porch (about 35 feet away) (for UPS packages of course), and be able to scan up and down the street. I can see about 150 feet up and down the street. It would be cool to have a decent zoom. How much of a zoom do I need?
I know I want IP based. I would like PoE. What are my options for audio to/from the camera? Can I do it all over Ethernet?
Where are the best places to buy them?
my work has a Sony Ipela that is really nice (25x zoom).
we have something like that but its life-alert, we have a box with a loudspeaker on it, its also attached to our fire alarm, as soon as the system is tripped on our end the loudspeaker turns "live" and the office can hear what is going on in our house and they can talk with us, but only when its tripped on our end. they cannot turn it on whenever they want that their end. _________________ Background Check | Square Peg Web
