Embarassed I have a IP-503 IP Camera Internet Security Camera that I am installing directly to my XP 64 bit PC. I am connecting directly to the MB internal Ethernet
connector. I run the setup.exe program from the disk. It gives me the proper GUI for set up but does not list the camera as being connected. I get an error from the camera software that says : Error 10065.

The on board NIC is working because I can use it to connect to the Internet.

Can't find out who makes this camera it seems really Generic.

Any help appreciated.

With a direct connection from the camera to your computer via Ethernet you may require a cross over Ethernet cable for proper communication. If you have a switch or router on hand then try plugging both the computer and the camera into either in hopes of trying to gain access to the camera.

Let me know if you have tried this already or if this doesn't help at all.
