Price seems great, if it isn't a horror to set up. What do you think now?

LoL no Gadspot sucks. I have had nothing but trouble.
Of course Gadspot would say they are "very simple to install and use" they just want to make a buck. Believe me they aren't worth the cash. Most unreliable peices of junk I have ever seen.

Couldn't agree more. I made the mistake of buying the NC 1200. What a piece of junk. What a waste of $100, not to mention my valuable time. Onto the e-waste heap it goes.
Won't work at all in any browser except IE
Can stream video except by using some ActiveX voodoo
Permanently stuck in night-vision mode so everything looks pale green and blue
and of course, utterly absent tech support.

I would like to make something very clear...
640×480 @ VGA . does NOT compare at ALL to a 2.0Mega Pixel camera.... Not to mention if you do a true frame count on the 1000 at 640X480 it is only doing a true 5 - 12 FPS
The HUGE lack of a Auto-Iris power drive.
And the device is not supported by the majority of software.
This statement is like "I got a cavalier and it gets me from point A to point B just fine, I feel sorry for guys who spend $165,000 on their 7 series BMW"
Every camera has its application. You want to watch your dog while you are on vacation... Great, buy a piece of junk as far as cameras go and it will work for you.
You want to identify someone, testify, capture a true 360* image while running analytics.. Then you need to step into the real world and spend the money
Look at true cost of an item... I just pulled 85 of these out of a local school because in 2 years 30 of them have failed. THIRTY, almost 1/3rd of the cameras installed have failed.
So, you save $300 a camera, my cost on GadSpot is about 20% under their web page (avg) however I have to pay one of my installers to go out there and replace a camera 15 times a year. Figure an hour or two to set it up, my guys make anywhere from 15 to 30 an hour. I lose $120 every time a camera fails. Not to mention it makes my company look bad.
