Question about IP camera

I am interested in the GE GEC-IPDRH Camera IP Dome Camera (520 TVL, MPEG-4). I don't believe my D-Link 655 router is POE but I can buy an adapter.

Is anyone familiar with this camera or installation problems? It comes with free 16-channel client software (probably IP Video Control Center V1.4). Has anyone used this software or is there anything better? Thanks!

Never heard of the camera but what I do is find the manual online, probably at GE's website and go through and see if it has the features you are looking for and works the way you expect it to.

What made you think of GE as a network camera manufacturer? It may come with software, but if you don't like their software or if you buy additional cameras of a different brand, will this camera work with 3rd party software?
