sony audio output problem

I have a SNCP5. Audio output from the built in mic is fine over IP, but I am also trying to have the audio go into a computer. I am using the line out/speaker port, but I am not getting any audio. I have made sure "speaker output" setting is ON in the admin.

What am I doing wrong? I am incorrect to think I can bring the audio from the built in mic to my computer this way?

Line out on cameras is for you to talk at the PC and be heard at the camera.

Once you get that understood, know that these are almost always line-level outputs and need to be amplified.
