Anyone knows any NVR software that allow user to have multiple monitor display?

NVR software = 16 channels = 1 monitor
12 monitors x 16 cameras per software = 192 cameras display

**All monitors (12 monitors) are connected to 1 server only.

The only software I know that supports dual-monitors is http://www.nuuo.com/

I have never fooled around with multi-monitors and IP software before so I'm not sure what other IP software developers offer that. 12 monitors - 16 channels each would be cool though Wink

What kind of cameras you have,

192 cameras on 1 server, its a huge thing.

IVC has a ViewStation software, they can show 25 cameras on 1 screen but that also requires huge processing power and good RAM, but with 2-3 computers you can do it easily.

Actually any software where you can manually define a width and height of its main window is compatible with multiple monitors.

But, i don't know any video card with 12 outputs. I have experience with 4 monitors video cards from NVidia and Matrox.

NVidia card was NVidia Quadro NVS.

You should just connect 4 monitors to it and then in Windows desktop settings you have to make a huge "virtual desktop" as a sum of all 4 monitors sizes. I have merged them horizontally, so I had desktop with resolution 5120*1024. Then I just put 5120 in the settings of my software.

Other big problem is the processor load. 20 cameras with 6 FPS made my Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz run with 90% load when it records the video on few channels. So it is hardly possible to run 190 cameras with FPS more than 1 or 2 with moderate price PC.

Without knowing what recording settings you will be using (MJPEG or MPEG4? Resolution? Framerate or Bitrate?), it is impossible to say whether this can be done with one machine.

If you were recording all cameras in CIF resolution in MPEG4 at a few frames per second - a well-oiled server will handle it. The trick is coming up with the software that will do the same.

If you are recording 4CIF MJPEG images at 10 frames per second, you will definitely need to split recording between at least 2 PC's, maybe 3.

The workstation displaying all 192 cameras is, while theoretically possible, a pretty unreleastic concept. Depending on your recording settings, it could be similar to trying to decode and display 192 DVD's at once.

Regarding multi-display software - Milestone software supports the Windows limit of 16 displays per PC. Views can be sent to secondary displays in full screen, or sent to a moveable and resizable floating window.
