Hi,

I have purchased the Dlink DCS 6410 IP camera, but out of the box pan tilt is not there. I checked the manual and it says I can plug in a RS485 external device to enable the pan tilt function.

Can someone point me to the correct direction? Totally lost here, totally no idea what is compatible...

Thanks in advance!

That is a standard indoor dome, no pan, no tilt either out of the box or in the box.

In the PDF manual.

PAN AND TILT FUNCTIONS
+ Pan Range: 170 ~ -170 (by manual) + Tilt Range: 60 ~ -15 (by manual)

PORT SUPPORT EXTERNAL PT DEVICES
+ RS-485

Any recommendations on your expertise?

Sure, that just means that you can remove the plastic dome cover, adjust the lens by hand to where you want to point them, refocus.

hi guys

i need some help, when i installed my foscam ip camera, i was able to forward the port and make it work but the problem is it only works on port 8080 if i use any other port it will not work at all, i.e if i try to connect it from other location it will just not load the page, i am using windows xp. i was able to connect to ip camera form another location when i was using port 8080 but as soon as i change it to another port it will not work( obviously i do port forwarding for the new port in the router) can you please advise. also i would like to add two ip cameras in one router (NetGear)

many thanks
