Nuuo looks good, but it appears not to support Grandstream cameras.

(On the other hand, it does claim to support Vivotek cameras, but not 4Xem cameras, despite them being the same thing,)

Cisco has a linux-based solution which which claims 3rd party camera support and POS integration.

I'm gonna call them tomorrow, but I'm already worried about the bottom line with anything labeled Cisco.

My problem is that I can't find a manufacturer with a line of cameras that meets my spec in a comfortable price range,

If I can't find one of those, I'm gonna need to use cameras from different manufacturers, which will require 3rd party software.

If I could find some good 3rd party software, I wouldn't have to worry about the implications so much.

Security Monitor Pro software works well for us - supports about 1500 models of IP cameras. We use Vivotek, Sony, Asante and some other models. More info here: http://www.deskshare.com/video-surveillance-software.aspx
