I have the IP Cam and I lost the software while moving to a different location. I have the cat cables which were suggested but I have no idea how do use them with the camera. Also, I can't even see my camera locally on the network nor through the internet. Any suggestions on a free software to help me configure the camera or how to use the cat cables to configure the camera?
thanks ahead

Hi,

All you need is a crossover ethernet cable which you plug between the camera and the PC. The default IP for that camera is either 192.168.0.250, or 192.168.0.253, I can't remember.

Just connect up the cable, put your PC on the same range as the camera (choose something like 192.168.0.* but don't use 50 or 53), then go to those addresses in your browser.

If you don't have a crossover cable, you need to plug the camera into your router and try the software - which you can probably get at http://panasonic.co.jp/pcc/products/en/netwkcam/download/index.html.

I hope this helps.

Hello:

I am in a similar situation where I have lost the software to the Kx-Hcm280 netcam, and I have pushed the "default" factory reset button. I was able to download the manual from the Panasonic support site, but cannot do anything else with the camera without the software.

Would any kind soul who has the software be willing to make an ISO or ZIP image of the software? Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Charles

This is just one day after you posted the question - how remarkable, I thought, the I saw the additional three years. TOO BAD!! Here's your answer:

That's the panasonic link, for $16.20 and you're on your way. I had the exact same problem. We must do better about keeping track of disks.... Smile
