Since Windows XP went away, I've not been able to get full control of my cams under Windows 7 or Windows 10 because the older Canon camera software won't run on those operating systems. I've tried a few other control apps like I.P. Camera Viewer etc but can't get full PTZ to work. Any ideas? Canon really dropped the ball here by creating software that won't load on these newer operating systems. Fred in Michigan.

Unlikely you can get your camera function properly on Windows 7/8 or Windows 10. The reason is IP camera's web server relies on the specific ActiveX plugin to run on client side.

Using the old Windows XP OS is the only way to get it work properly, also you may keep the software carefully, because one day you may won't find them, because both Panasonic and Microsoft dropped the support for Windows XP (or IE7, IE8).

I assume many IP cameras will encounter this problem, since users move to Windows 10 OS. I know few IP cameras are fully compatible with the Windows 10 OS.
