I set up a Veo Wireless camera during the building of my pool.

Story here: http://www.ese-cad.com/home/reden/pool/

Camera details here: http://www.ese-cad.com/home/reden/pool/camera.html

I really don't have much good to say about the Veo. They're out of business now I think. Picture was much better once I glued sunglasses on!

Hi rmeden,

Thats a nice pool!

Thats funny how you had to add the sunglasses to the Veo camera. Great Pic Wink

I haven't read much about Veo network cameras. I will have to see if they are out of business, if not I will add them to the site. Perhaps you could write a review about the camera so others know what to expect.

What other two cameras did you get that had bad Pan/Tilt motors out of the box. Were they the same camera or from other manufacturers?

Thanks!

They were all Veo Wireless Observers. When I finally spoke to a human at Veo, they said there was a bad manufacturing batch and a bunch of motors were DOA. So much for QA.

At the time, I didn't think there were other low-end cameras with wireless/pan/tilt/zoom. Things have changed in the past year.

The Veo web site http://www.veo.com/default.asp appears to be up and all the dead links seem to be fixed, so maybe they're not gone.

Great, Thanks for the link. I will have to send them off an email and learn more about their cameras.

Things have changed a lot in the past year. You can get a Pan/Tilt camera fairly cheap now with wireless as well. I know some manufacturers are coming out with new models too so things are going to change a lot again in the next year or less.
