Hi All

Try the new Visec NVR Platinum with its new Multi-monitor and Joystick support. Best value for money. Easy to install and easy to setup. Infact it is far more cheaper than Milestone, and has everything that Milestone can offer and even more. Visec has its own MJPG engine optimized and designed to run multiple MegaPixel cameras, like the Axis 223M and Arecont cameras at full frame rate without crashing. Now try that with Milestone or NUUO and see how long you can run your system. Visec will also release their support for H.264 mid Q3 2008. More camera support is being added too.

Go to the new website: http://www.visecintl.com and download a 15 day trial of Visec NVR Platinum.

Have fun.

Hi viseclpr,

I'm trying to compare estimates from multiple vendors. Assuming full frame rate for the Axis 223M is 12 fps (which it is) - can you give me a server estimate (CPU/memory/HDD) for the following. I understand it probably requires more than one server... you can PM this to me if you like

50 Axis 223M's
1600x900 resolution MJPEG
12 FPS
30-days of storage
Recording 24x7 on motion with about 65% motion

6xSATA2(Raid,0,1,5,10),
1xATA133, Gbe Lan, 4chSound,
Max 12xUSB,
2xIEEE1394, Micro ATX (vPro)

2. QX6850 Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme LGA775 3Ghz
Quad Core, 1333Mhz FSB 8MB Cache,
VT,EIST,EM64T, XD

3. Kingston Value RAM Memory 2GB 800MHz DDR2
NonECC
CL5 DIMM x2

4. XFX GeForce 8500GT 256MB DDR2 STD
EDITION (
CRT+TV+DVI) : PCIEXPRESS
16X
SLI Support

5. 200TB storage will be needed for specs given.

I usually like to recommend Milestone software. I find it to be the easiest to use and very reliable. They actually offer a free one camera license off their site. Their website is http://www.milestonesys.com or you can click their banner at the top of the site Wink

How do you obtain the license code? I tried to register to obtain the SLC and DLK for the software. But I never got any email response back for the SLC and DLK to operate the software. Any idea?

Give NUUO NVR software a try! It support 36 brands and around 600 models of IP camera which including several Megapixel camera manufacturers.

It also allows to deal with DVR card and build the Hybrid solution. The benefit is to use the previous analog camera and new IP camera in the same time. Save the budget.

I have tried many software packages for IP cameras. And i would say I like LuxRiot and ICatcher from not expensive ones.

Milestone is good, but kind of too pricey for me.

Hi,
I recommended you for View Commander Network IP Camera Software products. ViewCommander software is a professional alternative to the flimsy software that is shipped with most network IP cameras.
Thanks

I Think you go for CCTV IP Camera AVI202 .This IP Video camera is a network-based digital surveillance device with a built-in web server for the purpose of remote monitoring and recording.

I hate these websites for software that does not give you any clue what it costs. Does someone have a cost matrix for the various software packages out there?

I know Blue Iris is $49, but it doesn't support my mega pixel cameras.

NUUO?
Milestone?
Visec?
others?

What camera do you have? Blue Iris Support frequently updates supported cameras, and if you send an email to support your camera most likly is supported in the next update.

Updates are available very often
