Using an Internet Camera in my Garage.

Just recently I setup a D-Link Internet Camera in my garage. I have it sending images to my brothers web site whenever there is motion. It is working great so far. I got one of these cameras because last year someone broke into my garage and stole a few of my tools. I haven't had a problem yet, but at least if it happens again they will be caught on camera.

I do the same thing in my house, Brad... the only fear I've had is if the burglers cut the power before the break in. So what I've done is to put my DLS modem and my cameras on inexpensive battery backups. They are available pretty much at any good electronics stores, for about $40. The backups I have power my modem and/or cameras for about 15 minutes, so even if they pop the breaker panel, I still get video and photos for at least that long.
Also watch the temperature in your garage, I had a camera in a clear bird feeder watching my dog and it cooked out in the heat.
