|
|
I have an Axis 207 (not wireless) IP camera and I plugged it to my router and all the lights in the camera are green so it seems that it is connected to the network correctly. Then I enter to the admin webpage of my router and I see that the camera is correct and it has the "192.168.1.11" IP address within my network.
The problem is that when I enter to the AXIS IP Utility software (provided by AXIS), I can't see the camera. So I try to add it manually using the "Assign an IP address using the serial number" option and it takes a couple of minutes trying to detect it but then it says "Error assigning the IP address to the serial number ...." with no other comment.
In this step if I used the same IP address that I see in my router (the one that was assigned to the camera) the AXIS IP Utility says that is already in use, so I try to use a new one for the camera (maybe this is causing the issue)
I checked the serial number carefully and I entered it ok.
Then in my router I see the IP address and the MAC address attached is the serial number that I am entering in the AXIS IP Utility.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Thanks in advance
Max

You can run a IE browser, then input the ip address of your Axis 207, can you view the interface of this ip camera ? if you can use IE browser to view your camera, and change some setting of your axis 207! no problem! the following ip camera software can connect and view your camera! _________________ H264WebCam 3.8 can record video and audio stream from many network ip camera. No, I entered the IP in my browser and I can't reach it. It seems that is not working under http even though I see it as an attached device in my router
Thanks

Try and connect to it using the ip you tried to set it to. Maybe the management software changed it and just didn't report it correctly. _________________ I can record your video remotely. PM for details.

If I try to assign the same IP the AXIS IP Utility says that it is already in use. So I pick another IP number using the correct Serial Number of the camera and when it finishes the process (trying to assign the new number) it ends with the following error message:
"Error assignning the IP address 192.168.1.13 to 0048C8 ...." (my serial number)
Then I tried the same process after pressing the "CTRL" button of the camera but I get the same error. Checking my router's admin webpage I see that the camera looks good in the "Attached devices" with the MAC Address (Serial Number) and the IP 192.168.1.11
Any other idea?
Thanks for your help.
