|
Hi everyone,
I have an Aviosys IP Video Server 9310 which is receiving video from my camera over the composite video input. From the user manual, I can log in over the web interface (only in IE due to ActiveX requirements, annoyingly) and view live video, and I can also see it in the application InfinityCam (supplied with the product).
For the project I am working on, I need to be able to get at the video from another application - ideally, I would be able to host a webcam feed - we are planning to analyze the video live on a remote server.
Can anyone suggest a way of getting at the video stream? I have tried to open the stream in VLC and host a webcam stream from there - someone suggested that it was possible to access the IPServer cameras as local webcams, and host a stream from those, but I cannot seem to find out how to make my camera appear as a local webcam.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm not too worried if a solution requires a little programming, network tinkering etc - just need to be able to take video from the server and send it over the Internet in a way in which I can access it in my own programs.
Thanks in advance!
Tom
