Depends what kind of camera it is. If wired, you run cable to a DVR or a USB based DVR, or a TV. Wireless, same thing, receiver needs to go to DVR, or USB based DVR or TV. IP Camera can be accessed by computer. What kind of camera is it?

Spy camera, how "cold war" retro cool is that. Reminds of the Russian spy, Anna Chapman they captured recently and the spy swap that occurred. I think the word they use in "spy" movies now is "covert". Most covert cameras I've seen are not IP cameras, they are CCTV cameras meaning they connect via video in to a cam-corder, vcr or a CCTV DVR.

If you want a covert IP surveillence camera, the AXIS M7001 Covert Surveillance Kit is the only one I know about, a better description is here - http://www.axis.com/products/cam_m7001/

Does your spy camera come with installation instructions? If not, I suggest you ask the seller for help, or you can buy spy cameras that do not need to install.

Check out Spy Cameras. I recommend you buy a spy clock camera. You can put the clock on the desk and it is working perfectly. I hope it helps you.

A spy camera should not be seen while it watches a location, lest unauthorized personel attempt to circumvent the camera's range of vision. A spy camera does not leave a trail of cables that can be seen, and if the camera is miniaturized it can be placed almost anywhere while performing its job. A micro wireless spy pinhole camera reaps the benefits of all of these options and can be installed in minutes. No tools are needed.

1

Decide what you're interested in spying on. Where and who you will be spying on will determine what type of camera you will buy and how you go about setting it up. Some places that you might want to consider are the baby's room, the living room or your spouse's or girlfriend/boyfriend's car.
2

Choose the camera. There are a variety of cameras available today that are disguised as everyday objects such as pens, wall clocks, air purifiers, and books, among other things. These are self-contained and have built in SD memory cards which will record the activities. You just take the card and plug it into your computer to play them back. Then there are also Wi-Fi cams that need to be plugged into a VCR or a laptop.
3

Install the cameras. The complexity of installing a camera will depend on the camera itself. Most of the smaller units that are disguised as every day things run on batteries and all they require is to be positioned in the proper place and switched on. The wall mounted security cams require a bit more work. Simply attach them to a wall using the mounting screws and then plug them into a power source. Most of these are weather resistant so you can get them wet and install them outside.
4

Connect your TV or computer to the wireless camera. If your camera is wireless then all you need to do is connect the wireless video receiver to a power supply then run the cable that comes with it to your television or VCR. The cables will be color coded yellow and red and you simply plug the right corresponding color into the correct hole. You can also plug the receiver into the USB port in your laptop and use it as a digital video recording device.
5

Monitor your cameras on the Internet. Some of the wireless cameras that can be hooked up to a computer using a wireless receiver can also be connected to the Internet by using HomeCamera.com Simply sign up for a free account download the software and install it on your computer. Once installed you will need to keep your computer that is attached to the video receiver on and connected to the Internet. You'll be able to access your cameras from any laptop, PDA, or web enbabled mobile phone.
