Am new to these surveillance devices. Now am in need to buy some IP PTZ cameras for a business enclave something like shopping mall or jewelery shop.

Requirements am looking for the camera are:

*IP camera that support custom developed Software and drivers.

*available low data rate IP camera without compromising the clarity

*PTZ capable IP camera

*night vision needed

*preferring wired IP camera to wireless as seen somewhere wired is better for low disturbance.

*cameras that may come under a budget of Indian Rupees 10000 or to the max 12000Rs

*upto 8 Ip cameras are required to be connected in the internal network of the respective business place, and have to be managed under one server. So need cameras that won't give much load into the corresponding network and software.

Am intending to manage the Ip cameras in a local intranet with the base device and a server pc, need the cameras that won't overload the network, software or the server machine.

The cameras are meant to be working for 24*7 all days.

if you can point out some dealers in Kerala or at-most south India it will be much helpful.

expecting an immediate reply from the intelligent group out here.

thankyou Smile

Check out Panasonic, they make a few. One that works very well is the HCM580a. Don't know rupee conversion rates by here in the US, they run about $600.

hi,

thanx for replying the thread, but the camera you suggested here is double the money my clients can afford. It would have been helpful if you suggest me a camera within $250 or at the max $300

You need to reassess your budget if you want a quality reliable system. $250 for a IP PTZ or any quality PTZ is way low.

Panasonic makes the lowest price commercial PTZ cameras I know of. The alternative is to give up on PTZ and just get a regular camera. If so, I would suggest an ACTi acm-4201 would fit in that price range. Also Axis M10 series (M1054 for example), lastly the Vivotek IP7161 also is in that price range.

BTW, if you think Panasonic is expensive, a good PTZ camera from Axis can cost 3-5x that price.
