I would like to create an Audio/Video Server Live from an IP camera (Axis camera).
How can I do that?
I want to publish it,so I can show the video and the audio on a flash client application.

Camera IP ---> Red5 Video Server ----> #1 flash client application

----> #2 flash client application

Any ideas?

I tried the example in the demos,but it takes the stream only from a local webcam,I need from an IP camera.

I want to create this video and audio server that publish an audio and video stream so I can show it using a flash application in an html page.

Thanks

If you get RTP output from the camera you can use SteamStream (RTP-to-RTMP restreamer) which is a Red5 application
Refer http://red5wiki.com/wiki/SteamStream

I'm going to try red5, seems interesting. I installed the server on CentOS and that's working fine. I installed the oflademo demo program and that runs fine. Now I have to figure out how to code up an app to make one of my cameras stream to that server as a streaming flash. Cool project for a good friday. They show how in their youtubes so I can't image it's too hard.

I'll pick it back up in a few days when I have some free time.

Another interesting solution is Evostream (www.evostream.com). It can ingest an RTP/RTSP stream from an IP camera and repackage it to RTMP for Flash players.

It is also C/C++ based so it can be embedded into the IP camera which would allow it to directly generate an RTMP stream from the camera without needing to be being proxied to an external server.
