Does anyone have a recommendation for home security software that will interface to IP camera's. This is not for professional usage so I do not need the analytics and other top end items.

What is important to me includes;

* Intrerface to IP camera's
* Multiple camera support
* DVR recording with motion sensing
* Remote view from web page

There are so many to select and yes I tried the Cisco LinkSys store bought camera and software, and while it is working they are VERY lacking.

I use IVI View Commander for the past several years. It serves my purposes at home. I run 11 cameras. IVI View Commander NVR can be purchased for different levels of use. There is a base license fee for a limited number of cameras. Addtional cameras added will require additional licenses at a fee of $75 for the Pro version of IVI. Response from IVI is very quick if help is needed and the company is located in the New England area in the USA.

You can use Milestone XProtect Go which is free. I personally use BlueIris software, cost $50 per PC. Zoneminder is free but runs on Linux.

Yeah Honeywell makes a semi standard security panel that supports a feature called Honeywell total connect this allows IP cameras connected to the alarm panel. You can have all the features of a standard burglar alarm system with the added feature of IP video..

The video quality is pretty impressive for such a compact unit. They even offer IP encoders for using analog cameras converted to IP into the panel.
Not sure if this is what your inquiring about, but its a nice product.

Security Monitor Pro software works well for me. It has all the features I need - motion recording, masking out an area, live broadcast, ftp uploading etc. More info: http://www.deskshare.com/video-surveillance-software.aspx

Milestone XProtect Go or Luxriot. Depending on what cameras you use, some of the manufacturers include free VMS software that might do what you require.
