Axis 225FD and Milestone XProtect Basis 4.0h

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions....

I have 3 Axis 210A's... all running lovely.

I have a licensed XProtect Basis 4.0h... which was pretty pricey, but until now, was worth it as it works great too.

The above are all less than 90 days old.

However, I also bought an Axis 225FD, and my "partner" knew about this when they sold me the software, I suspect because this cam is listed on the "supported hardware list", and I read the list too and it looked like it was supported... (at Milestonesys.com).

I guess both the partner (dealer) and I should have read that list a little closer, because apparently, this cam is only supported IF you have video device driver packver 2.5, which, apparently, is NOT what comes with the latest version of XProtect Basis. XProtect Basis 4.0h apparently comes with device driver packver 2.1.... NOT 2.5

Anyone know how I can make this camera work with XProtect Basis 4.0 ???

Is this other video device driver packver 2.5 available somewhere as an upgrade to my existing licensed version of Basis 4.0h?? Can I "Fix" my milestone software so it has the right driver pack to run this camera? Or did I just buy some pretty crappy software? I really hate the idea of spending more money to "Fix" this software when I have already shelled-out over 500 bucks less than 90 days ago and the software does not work with this cam...

My partner was Litco Systems in Canada... and they don't appear to provide any kind of support... can't get past the voicemail yet.

Any help or suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks !

You are very welcome Smile

IP Cameras come to the market fairly rapidly so it is impossible to keep rebuilding the software after each camera driver is created. If you run into this again, just check the Support -> Downloads section on www.MilestoneSys.com to download and install the latest device pack.

Cheers
