There are various lens calculators out there that will allow you to enter the details of a cameras lens and image sensor and it will give you ideas of the viewing area of a camera. Do you know what manufacturer you are looking at? Some manufacturers have lens calculators on their sites:

AXIS - http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/lens_calculators/index.htm
4XEM - http://www.4xem.com/support/tools/lenscalc.html

If you can provide a link to the camera you are looking and provide me with the details of how large of a viewing area you need, I can do the calculations and let you know if it works. I just have to find the formula for doing so Wink

Another good article to read is found here: http://www.4xem.com/articles/viewingangles.html
