There are various lens calculators out there that will allow you to enter the details of a cameras lens and image sensor and it will give you ideas of the viewing area of a camera. Do you know what manufacturer you are looking at? Some manufacturers have lens calculators on their sites:
If you can provide a link to the camera you are looking and provide me with the details of how large of a viewing area you need, I can do the calculations and let you know if it works. I just have to find the formula for doing so
