Hi there,
I have spent quite a while on searching for some good software for my AVIP NC4000 cameras. However I haven't found anything yet.
Now I am programming some quick and dirty software on my own, based on the activ x component (IMMP4Control.ocx) delivered by the camera and delphi.
My goal is it to use the motion detection abilities to record as long there is motion detected.
If there are other programmers, or users of cameras using this component I am willing to share source and application for free and I am open for suggestions
ttyl

So that is what I got so far. This Application is so far tested with 2 NC4000 Avip Cams. It supports up to 4 cams. For each cam you can set up a different Motion detect region. If motion is detected, the cam is recorded to a *.av file, which lasts 30secs longer than the last motion was detected. After the recording the *.av file ist automatically converted to a *.avi file.
Planning for the future:
- email alert on motion with jpg picture
- motion detection based on time table
- saving settings
- hiding in task bar when minimized
for anyone who wants to test it with an mpeg4 cam based on the imm4control leave me an email at dwayne(at)gmx.org
The first release will be available for download in a couple of days
Edit:
Just changed the picture - it also supports of course cameras over the internet as you can see - also with full support of movement recognition and saving

I just added the option to save a snapshot frequently for use in other cam software, like webcamxp. Another lack of the NC4000 Software solved

Hallo Bill,
yes, it will work with your camera. A demo of the surveillance software will be available within 2 days.
I also wrote a jpg server for this camera, which provides a jpg for applications whch cannot directly access the camera.
you can find more information at http://www.dwaynesworld.de

A surveillance software for one camera is now online. Find out more abut it here
This software works with theses Cameras:
Gadspot
GS4000 / GS4000G / GS4600 / GS4600HDN
AVIPTEK ( VCENTER )
NC4000-L10 / NC4000-W10 / NC4050-L10 / NC4050-L10 / NC4600-L10 / NC4600HDN / NC4060
The software records the stream and converts it to avi. You can define an area in the camera view where movement triggers the recording.
This software is an early beta, and there will be new releases soon supporting scheduler, email alert etc.
