I have a trendet IP camera on a private network inside a NAT and due to bandwidth limitations and security my Service provider does not want to allow direct internet access to the IP camea so I am looking for an application that will allow be to push a 30-60 second video file to my web server every 10 to 15 minutes as I do not need a continuous stream , For those interested , it is to give scuba divers a view on sea conditions before the make the trip to the dive center on the coast
any suggestions would be great

Sounds intresting, I cannot think of any application which will do that.
Seems like a scheduling problem so far.
every 10 minutes you go like this:
1. Record 60 Seconds of Video
2. Transfere it via ftp
hm to my opinion it can be achived with a bit of programming, but as I said, I do not know of any software which can do that.
what badwidth do you have available?
Maybe there is another solution which also makes you happy. transfere recent pictures directly to your webspace and visitors can access them there. You can check out a solution here:
http://www.obxsurfinfo.com/
The camera is set up to upload pictures directly to the webspace, and an installed flash playes them for the users. The users do not have direct access to the cam. Therefore only the bandwith for uploading the pictures is needed.
Is that a possible solution for you?
Greetings
Dwayne

Most cameras have a FTP feature built right into the camera.

I am currently uploading via ftp directly from the camera but only a single picture every 60 seconds
but your idea to upload a series of pictures and put them to together on the website is a good one , How does the solution on the site you referenced work , that might be just the ticket

Hi,
I use C-MOR for that. But it does not receive pictures by a push mechanism,
it collects it self, but you can setup a gap for up to an hour to collect pictures.
It generates the time lapse videos automatically. Example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYLPxjDQlis
C-MOR also offers a free service (only in German right now) with one
free camera to record. See http://www.c-mor.us or http://www.c-mor.de
(Hosting service).
So long,
K.

The solution I referenced just refreshes the pictures. It is always the same picture name being uploaded, and the flash keeps updating them. If you have something different in mind, like playing a loop of pictures this also can be achived, though I would need to program a new flash for that.

It simply generates movies on the fly. Additional you can setup
single pictures (with different files names) for each shot..
It's very convenient and easy to use.
