|
|
My DCS-5220 is supposed to be able to support the recording to NAS and I'm currently using QNAP.
Yes, the video clips did recorded on the NAS but the maximum file size which I can use with the supplied software is only 500KB which means I can only record clips of less than 1 minutes. That means if I set the camera to record an-hour long video, it will automatically split the clips into a series of short clips. When playing back, I need to open a lot of files one by one for an-hour recording. It doesn't make sense to me. The recording. to my local drive work properly but I need to keep my PC on all the time.
I'm newbie to ip cam and not sure whether I've set anything wrong. Any suggestion are welcome.
Thanks.

Dear Michine,
I don't know if you have had your question answered, but I just happened to googled around and found your post.
I have a couple questions for you.
1. Which model of NAS that you have currently?
2. How many IP Cameras are you planning to use?
Regards,
Bintoro Chen
