My dad is building a house in another town. We want to put up a camera on a pole to be able to view the site to observe construction and then also use it for security. There are parts of the site that are a good ways from the mounting locaton that we want to watch thus the need for a PTZ. The camera should be WIRED not wireless. I also need a recomendation for a weather proof enclousre. Image quality is more important than frame rate or low light.

In addition what would you recomend for a fixed night IR camera with motion detection.

I would prefer that the bundled SW allow for motion detection.

Thanks
Austin

I don't know what your budget is but an Axis233D is one of the best IP PTZs. Put it in a Videolarm housing and you have a professional solution that will work all the time.

Alittle cheaper is the Axis 214 ptz also in a Videoalarm housing.

If your using this for security you would want a camera that is good in low light (both cameras are). I would take a guess but most of the theft would happen at night.
