Hello all,

we have configured an DCS 950G camera on my home, with default ports 80,5000 and 5001 opened on my router.
I have static IP address too.

I can access from WAN to the camera web page but I can only see a black square were the image is supposed to be.
Only one time I succeeded to see images, but no Idea how.

I guess it is an ActiveX problem.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
or can anyone explain why is this happening+

lol i have the same problem with dcs 5220.

the difference is that i have a dynamic ip add, and I'm using DynDns.org to host me a DDNS so I could point to my camera anytime.

I was able to succeed in viewing the "webpage" of the camera but no video feed at all Crying or Very sad

You must also open "AV Control Port" and "AV Streaming Port" in your router.

I have a related problem. I was convinced the CCD's of two DCS-5300's had been shot out by some punk with a laser pointer...
Turned out, the activex wasn't the problem alone. Something to do with the connections being wireless. I still haven't figured it out and will probably post a new thread about it.
One is a DCS-5300W or G (can't remember) that displays the black screen when everything is hooked up "normally"
The other one is actually two wired 5300's running 1.02 and 1.04 firmware. Hooked to a wireless ethernet bridge, they display only black for video. Even the timestamp works...

So I guess my question/suggestion to you guys is, what kind of connection do your cameras have to your internal networks? Does the video show up when using an internal machine?
