I have the following requirement, does anyone have any suggestions? The computer that will be used for monitoring and recording the video is located about 200 meters away from the computer display. The PC is located in the control room and the monitor will be located at the security guard post. We're not able to have a PC at the security guard post, only a monitor.
Does anyone have any suggestions to solve this requirement? We would also like to do this all wirelessly.
Thanks for your help.

What is the problem?
Use a small laptop (maybe even ASUS EEE PC 900) and IP camera+ WIFI router and thats it, but record the video on another server PC. _________________ home video surveillance software reviews

You need to use an IP camera that has both an ethernet connection and a analog connection. The camera connects to the recording system via wired or wireless ethernet and at the same time a video feed from the analog connector is sent via a wireless analog transmitter to a wireless reciever in the guard shackand. And that analog wireless reciver is connected to a TV monitor. Just make sure that if you have ethernet wireless, that the ethernet wireless frequencies is different than the analog wireless transmitter.

This gives you a wireless ethernet connection from the camera to a PC for recording purposes and a analog wireless connection to the monitor at the gaurd shack. This will give you the image on a monitor with no PC at the guard shack, the best of both worlds.
