I set up the SMTP server with my Gmail information and tested it and it worked. I can not get Blue Iris to email me when there is a alert. Ideas?

I'm not familiar with Blue Iris but.... some isp's block smtp emails except for their own. Try an email address issued by the isp the camera uses to access then net.
If you can, try changing the port from the default 25 to 465 or 587.
