I have 4 extremely low lux cameras (0.002 lux sensitivity) that im going to use in my Home Security DVR Computer. The lenses I use on them have no auto iris or shutter so the CCD chip is getting the full light around it all the time. But I only power them on at night (I have a photo-diode controlling them so they only power on at dusk).

My question is, if they are not powered during the daylight hours could an image still be burned into the CCD chip or could Pixels be damaged if the sun is shining into them?

Thanks!
