We're about to have our first child and I'm planning on buying this video monitor:
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=14884122
However, I'm in the military and would like to be able to use a camera with the same basic features as above (e.g. portable handheld for house use, audio/video jacks, etc.) to view the baby while sleeping over a secure password-protected internet connection. Does anyone know of a network camera solution that might work for my situation or can you point me in the right direction?
Incidentally, I've already searched here and I can't find any recent (last 2 years) posts regarding baby monitors.
Thanks!

There is a solution, www.c-mor.us. It can access and control (PTZ) a video camera through a single IP port over the internet without any software installation on the handheld/mobile device.
But it does not do audio. This might be used through a direct camera access which C-MOR may be able to forward through the Internet.

We are currently using an Axis 210 that works nicely. I think an Axis 207 would work pretty well for what you need as the 210 is pretty overkill
