I had HughesNet with 3 wireless cameras using Viewnetcam.com. I changed Internet providers and now I can only get camera access while I'm on my Internet Provider and no other internet provider. Doesn't make sense since viewnetcam.com gives me a specific http for each camera. Any ideas why I can only access the cameras (local IP and via http) when I'm using the internet provider that the cameras are connected to and no one else like Verizon DSL? Port forwarding is on and I had made no changes to the Linksys wireless router when changing internet providers. The modem of the new ISP is mounted on the roof of our home to what looks like a UHF TV antenna. The internet is beamed from a tower about 4 miles from us into this antenna where the modem is located and then wired to my router.

Sounds like you need to properly configure your new ISP router/modem to all the ip address brdige thru to your own router for the port forwarding to work or you need to setup th eport forwarding in the ISP's router/modem.

Thanks for your input. I feel the same way...for some reason the router isn't port forwarding back through the modem. I can't access the internal modem settings since it is controlled by the ISP. Plan A is to clear the router of all its settings and start over again and see if that "clears" up something in the router left over from the last ISP modem connected to it (strange as it might seem)

Contact the ISP and see what it takes to put their device in Bridge mode so it passes the public IP address to WAN port of your router. Then your port forwards in your router will work.

Thank you for that idea. It makes sense. My only question is why did it work just fine when I had HughesNET (with static IP) without having to change any internal settings to their modem. I wonder if the answer was that I had a static IP and that did the job of bridging the two. I use the bridge method of merging the modem into the router with my Verizon DSL system and the cameras work just fine at that location.

It's really up to the ISP provider and/or the actual installer. Both bridge mode and router mode will provide internet access to the customer if they are setup correctly.
