Hi all,
I want to put up 2 simple IP cameras by my doors so I can see who's there when I am home. I'm remodeling, so I can supply power as well as Cat 5 if needed, although PoE would certainly be convenient. Any downsides to that? Since I can, should I supply separate power? I could run 110v or low voltage. Need some advice on this. Any camera suggestions would be most appreciated as well.

I don't see any drawback of PoE, for distanses bellow 100m.
