Hello,
I enjoyed looking around your site, though I'm a bit disappointed that the camera compare doesn't have a way of searching by capability, format, cost, ptz, resolution, any specification at all. Those are the real things that someone looking a camera to do are looking for. I only marginally care the name on the box, I'm looking for help finding the right box for my needs. I get the feeling you are supported by the industry rather than your providing an objective review of the capabilities of the devices. I should wonder when the reviewer name is blank.
I had high hopes of such a capabilities based on the name of the site. Compared to other good product comparison sites (dpreview, phonescoop), I don't see any pricing, not even MSRP. You parrot the company provided specifications, but the site assumes I already know the name of the product I want the review of. Google can provide that. Your site doesn't help me find a camera suited to a particular task, something Google isn't built to handle.
Which ones offer IR illumination, what kind of coverage do they provide. What if I only want to see non-wireless cameras? How about support for POE?
So now I have a list of about 80 cameras that my product supports and no way to narrow down that list other than by looking at EVERY SINGLE CAMERA REVIEW. Thanks for the easy to use site, I think. I found you though Google -- I'll have to go back there since you don't provide the information I need. Other than the user reviews of the cameras which are not really a review but more a comment.
