Hi, I'm Max from Italy , I'm a new member of this Forum.
I want to say HELLO to all members
About my topic, I'd like to know the opinion about the Mobotix Cameras.
I know them , even if i never tried one.
I'd like to know the opinion of an expert of CCTV system , in relation to other brand of IP cameras , like AXIS, BOSCH,DALLMEIER, and so on.

Hi,
Actually picture quality is ok, but IMHO internal camera software has one bad feature.
After you network became busy for a second the camera disconects from the recording software. And I found no way to fix this changing the recording software timeout.
So if you plan to use these cameras, use separate network for your cameras, and calculate your network bandwidth. And for Gigabit network try to limiit system bandwidth bellow 300-400 mbps.
For bandwidth estimation I recommend a calculator from JVSG. In last version apart from resolution, compression and FPS it is possible to specify Image Complexity (for street outdoor cameras I use 80%) and % of Motion for MPEG4 calculations. The numbers it gives are quite accurate.

I tested last version of Mobotix cameras.
It seems there is no such problem anymore.
