Hello Jools34,
I was able to fix my problem. You have to be careful with the settings of your ipcam network. When you login to your IP cam, under Network, and the Basic Network Settings, you got to make sure that you have the correct parameters.
Also make sure you do a port forward on your Router's settings.
IPHONE USERS: By default the cam is pointed to port 80. When you try to access your cam over 3g connection on your iphone, it will fail because I think apple has port 80 on the iphone reserved for tethering. What I did is I setup my IP cam to a different port and the problem was fixed.
I am still not able to pan/tilt the cam from my iphone.. If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know !
FIRMWARE UPDATE: Please do not PM me for the latest firmware (I got over 10 msgs in one day ). I put the latest firmwares here:

Feel free to contact me if you need webhosting at sellwebhost.com
Good luck

It seems this pack of files doesn't work with my own ipcam . I got the Goscam GD2805 and put the last firmware but still no success in using it with my iphone.

Sorry for the late reply..
itseme: I get the updated from the seller that sold me the camera on eBay. So far I only got one update.
Jools44: Glad you were able to solve your problem (I read your other post).
Was anyone able to use PTZ on iPhone ? If I sign in as mobile on my iPhone, I cannot control the camera.. If anyone knows an app that allows PTZ on tha camera, that is compatible, it would be great to share..
Thanks

Salut Bubbah,
After contacting Foscam and telling them about the different versions of upgrade we have (the ones on this forum and the one on http://www.gadgetvictims.com/2009/07/foscam-ip-camera-part-two.html) , I was told that my cam might be a copy of Foscam and that the files I put in this forum were never programed by them !
So I guess my camera is now bricked and I can no longer use it even after trying to reset it...
Maybe I'll get an original Foscam next time

Hi guys,
I have the same camera and here's my situation.
On my home network (Singnet Mio with 2wire router), I have no issues with all my Laprops and my Wifi phone riding on my home network.
When I use my Singnet mobile broadband dongle to try and connect, I can't even access the login page.
I've tried changing the ports to 81, 82, 8080, 8080 but none of them seem to work, even on my home network. So I've changed it back to port 80 to work.
I've also gone to my router Firewall and allowed the device 192.168.1.71 to be in DMZplus mode. However, can still only access within my own home network but not from other networks.
Can anyone help me out? I'm quite a tech idiot so please be patient!!!!!

I also have this IPCam - great value for money for an entry level PTZ ($90).
Has anyone been able to use the PTZ with Blue Iris or i-Catcher? If this was possible I would by a couple more!
Thanks,magohn

I thought i had bricked my cam too. Turns out that when using the IP Camera tool, if you see an IP number - right click on it and there is an option to reinstall the firmware. I reinstalled the firmware (the one posted in this thread - thanks!) and now all is well again. I was getting a 404 error at the login site....

Hi there,
I just received delivery of one of these 'china' wireless webcams.
First off, I'm a Mac user and the ebay advert never said it wouldn't work with a Mac and only required a web browser.
So, i plugged it into the network, found it's IP and logged in.
I guess the user name and password as the CD that came in the box was a half size one and I only have a slot loading player.
So, so far I can log into the camera and view it @ 192.168.1.209/login.asp and then I can choose login / login smart phone / login mobile
The smart phone / mobile options allow me to see the camera and control it.
The login selection brings up a window asking me to download a pc ocx.exe file. Obviously not Mac compatible then.
I can use my iPhone with smart phone or mobile option and view and control the camera.
Now, my question is.
How do I get to the configuration page ? how do I get to the settings page to I can set up the wifi / motion sensors / ftp'ing ?
Is there a URL for this ?
Not being able to read the cd I can't see any manual...
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
THANKS

Hi everyone,
Ebay seems to be a minefield of clones of the foscam from various sellers with various names. None have pictures of either the software nor the box. Can anyone identifiy who's selling the real foscams that can be upgraded to this better firmware by the seller id or something?
I see one that says it supports up to 4 cameras, one that supports up to 9 cameras... is this perhaps an indication of which is the foscam software?
TIA
